Kintsugi, also known as kintsukuroi, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage a gold filling. Kintsugi literally means “to join with gold, and demonstrates that brokenness can create greater beauty and interest. Figure Drawing, or Life Drawing is in-person drawing from models, usually nude, who may pose in a variety of postures during timed increments in a studio. Our teaching artist Sam Wolf will be teaching some basic techniques on how to draw from a live model within a variety of time constraints.
