Kintsugi, also known as kintsukuroi, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage a gold filling. Kintsugi literally means “to join with gold, and demonstrates that brokenness can create greater beauty and interest. Kintsugi literally means “to join with gold, and demonstrates that brokenness can create greater beauty and interest. Kintsugi, also known as kintsukuroi, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage a gold filling. Kintsugi literally means “to join with gold, and demonstrates that brokenness can create greater beauty and interest.
